- Community Hall Monday evening:

greeted the showing of fashions,
by Miss Frith’s. Mr. Wyn Sinclair
was commentator and. in a
relaxed manner described each
costume:as the models. leisurely
passed the tables, placed in U
shapes.

There was a wide range of
fashions from teens to matrons,
‘beach. ‘wear, play. -clothes,
daytime and evening dresses and
pant Suits, also a bridal gown and
suitable’ gowns: for. the bridal
_party. The accessories were very

noticeable and it. was a treat to
see the dainty hats:

Augmenting’ one professional
model, Miss Pamela Gillen, were
local residents and all were
warmly, applauded. They were
Gloria Lindsay, Shirley Monych,
Jo-Anne: Hamilton, Pearl . Cart-
wright; Liz. Franklin and molly
Essery.

Outstanding hair styling was
done by Bette and staff. of
Brentwood Silhouette. Coiffures
and during intermission did two
comb-outs: Winners of door
prizes were Madeline Slugget,
Susan Hughes, Joy Martens and
Doreen Elvedohl.

over 50 members of which. more
than a third were in attendance.
The retiring slate of officers
had all their reports up to date,
Evan Roberts read the minutes of.
the previous meeting in his usual
eloquent manner, as. Vivian
Wallace in tne chair nodded ir
approval. Listening to the
minutes I could well imagine
there are few dull moments with

this club.

It was my first attendance “at
an annual meeting of the Plavers,
and as was evident it) was no
