Houston United Church was the
scene of: the’ March 6. wedding
uniting Marcia Aileen. Breiten-
bach, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Joseph Breitenbach of Houston.
formerly of Brentwood Bay, and
Ralph Boyd Sholinder, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Lawrence Sholinder of
Windermere. B.C. The Rev.
Joyce Dicken officiated at the
candle-lit double-ring ceremony.

An empire waist gown of peau
de elegance with Swedish lace
trim and long bell sleeves was
chosen by the bride. and. was
made by her. Mother. As
something old and borrowed she
wore her Mother’s: full length
embroidered veil, caught up by a
white rose and pearl headpiece.
She carried a cascade bouquet of
red roses and white carnations.

-Her. pearl earrings were .a: gift

from the groom.

The bride’s sister, Mrs: Linda
Hanson of) Prince .George, was
Matron of Honour: with Miss Pat
Combs. of Cobble Hill as
bridesmaid, the groom’s niece.

reception. The bridal tablé. was
decorated with red and white
floral arrangements. centered
with a three-tier. wedding cake
made and decorated by the
bride’s grandmother. Mrs.
Walter Battye of Victoria. Art
Purdue of. Prince George was
master’ of. ceremonies and in-
troduced C. Callander of Victoria
who. proposed the toast to the
bride. Telegrams were read from
friends and relatives in Victoria,
Sidney, Revelstoke, Williams
Lake and Port Angeles. ©
. The mother of the bride chose a
dress of pale blue crepe. com-
plemented: with an. off-white:
crocheted wool coat, bluc hat and
biack accessories and a red rose
corsage. A blue two-piece suit
was chosen by the groom's
mother, complemented by. beige
accessories and a pink carnation
corsage.

Before. leaving — ‘for a
honeymoon to Banff and Calgary
and their. new home in Win-
dermere, the bride presented her
bouquet to her mother, which was
to be sent to her grandmother in
Victoria. To. travel, she. wore a
beige pant suit with red and gold
trim,. a. red rose corsage and
brown accessories.
