ber of 1947. Prior to coming
to Canada, she held important
war jobs, Miss Leigh spent the
first half of the war in Bermuda
working for the Admiralty and.

trying .to smuggle, she replied:
‘1 think one develops a- sort of
sixth sense. And then also it is
a matter. of experience, . It is

Miss Leigh went on to. say:

Recently Miss Leigh was given
a retirement party. She was pre~
sented with a watch, also the girls
of the U-drive rentals at the air-
port contributed toward a bouquet
of flowers,

“Tam enjoying my retirement
very much,’’. concluded Miss
Leigh, ‘but I truly appreciated
the years I spent as a custom’s
official’? _
