~GOOD INDIVIDUAL SHOW FOR TERRACE WRESTLERS The Terrace Wrestling team fared quite well at the Zone championships that they hosted at Skeena Junior Secondary School, losing by only three points (28-25) to the much larger contingents from Prince Rupert and Smithers, who tied for first place. Shayne Wilson lost a close gold medal match to Smithers and had.to be satisfied with a silver medal at 41 kg. At 57 kg, Lakhbir Jaswal captured a gold, forcing Parminder Sadhu to be satisfied with a silver. Greg Buck dominated his 63 kg weight division, with his only tough match coming from teammate Jim Thurows, giving Terrace both the gold and silver medals here. Matt Kerby easily won 74 kg and Eilas McMillan was uncontested for the gold at 78 ke. Greg Buck was the only Terrace wrestler who competed at the provincials, and though he was eliminated, he lost to the eventual provincial cham- pion and to the third-place finisher. His second loss was by only one point at the end of the five-minute match. — Contributed by Warren Wilson. ‘BEST-EVER’ PLAYOFFS TO GO IN KITIMAT Kitimat Minor Hockey has been picked this year (for the first time) to play host to the North District camp for Under-17 ’Best Ever’ playoffs April 10-12.
