Chong, P. Eng., DATE: October 6, 1994 City Administrator FROM: LR. Zahynacz, P. Eng., City Engineer SUBJECT: RBQUEST FOR "NO PARKING" SIGN - 1424 BROADWAY AVENUE (Public Works Commitice Mecting of October 4, 1994) RECOMMENDATION: That Council direct the City Clerk to amend the City Traffic Control Bylaw #1117 to include the designation of a "No Parking" sign approximately 30 metres northwest of the intersection. This would not allow parking from the driveway at 1424 Broadway to the intersection of Broadway and Kebet. A request was received from Jerry Guild for "No Parking" signs on the East side of Broadway at the intersection of Broadway and Kebet. Currently, cars are allowed to park on both side of Broadway in this area. The problem is that large tracks cannot tum at this comer during rush hour when traffic is using Broadway as a detour and cars are parked on both sides (see attached sketch). ! By restricting parking on the east side of Broadway this will allow more room for the trucks to maneuver at this corner. ' JEY:cd Attachements Te Wee aero ee ee
