CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES
Request for Proposais

The City of Port Coquitlam is planning an expansion and renovation to the
Hyde Creek Recreation Compiex and a professional construction manager is
required to ensure the project is completed on time and within the
established budget.

The project is located on municipal tand on the northside of Laurier Avenue.
Topographic surveys and geotechnical surveys are currently underway. Vic
Davies Architect Inc. is the Project Architect. The schematic design phase is
nearing completion with the estimated total budget of $5,100,000. Target
project completion date is June, 1994.

The project features an extensive renovation te the existing building and an
expansion to include leisure pool facilities, service areas, staff offices,
cafeteria, weight room, fitness room, court facilities, youth area,
multi-purpose program rooms and other ancillary spaces. 8 1/2" X 14"
photo-copies of the concept floor plans are attached for information.

One of the challenges of this project is the City’s desire to keep the existing
building open during construction.

The terms of reference for construction management services are included
with this invitation. C.C.A. Document No. 5 (1988) will form the basis of the
agreement between the City of Port Coquitlam and ths construction manager.

Proposals must be received no later than July 5, 1993 at 4:30pm and contain
the following information:

1. Historical Information

1.1. The length of time the firm and/or the principals have operated
in the construction industry as Construction Managers.

1.2 The firri’s experience and performance related to aquatic
facilities.

1.3 The firm’s experience working around operating facilities.

4.4 The firm's local construction management experience.
