A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of the Corporation of The City
of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall,
2580 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on Monday, October 28th, 1991,
at 7:30 p.m.

His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay and Aldermen M.D. Gates, J.J. Keryluk,
M.J. Gordon, R.H. Talbot, and M.R. Wright in attendance.

Also in attendance were Deputy Administrator City Clerk R.A. Freeman, City
Engineer I. Zahynacz, Director of Planning C.R. Felip, Director of Building
Permits and Inspections J. Shardlow and Secretarial Assistant to the City
Clerk 8. Rauh.

CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES:

Moved by Alderman Keryluk:
Seconded by Alderman Gordon:

That the minutes of the Public Hearing and Regular Council meeting held on
October 21st, 1991 be taken as read and adopted.

Carried.

His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay introduced members of the Port Coquitlam
Buckaroos Hockey Team and wished them well in the upcoming season.

PROCLAMATION:

_ WHEREAS: One in twenty Canadians has or will develop diabetes ~- a
debilitating, incurable disease which can lead to heart attack, blindness, and
kidney failure;

WHEREAS: Canada has been a world leader in diabetes research, particularly
with the discovery of insulin;

WHEREAS: Research projects funded by the Canadian Diabetes Association are
making progress into the causes, treatment, prevention, and ultimately a cure
for diabetes;

AND WHEREAS: The Canadian Diabetes Association is not funded by government
and relies on donations collected during the Annual Appeal campaign to fund
research, education, advocacy and service programs, .

NOW THEREFORE: I, Len Traboulay, Mayor of the Corporation of the City of
Port Coquitlaau do proclaim the month of November, 1991 to bes ©
