That the installation of traffic signals designed to show different shapes
ae well as colors to assist the visually impaired be supported;

That the Provincial Government be requested to amend the necessary
legislation and/or regulations to permit these installations;

And That this resolution be forwarded to the Union of British Columbia
Municipalities for consideration at the 1996 Convention.

Drains Behind Various Sidewalks.

That the following perforated drains ke instali ' prevent ice buildup
on sidewalks, utilizing funding from the Public Wot: °. etal Capital
Expenditure Reserve Fund.

(1) Install 35 m of drain at 1824 Pitt River Road
(2) Install 70 m of Grain at 1866 Western Drive
(3) Install 130 m of drain at Eastern N of Humber

It is recommended that the recommendations contain in the memorandum of
May 4, 1990 to the City Administrator from the Director of Planning, copy
attached, be approved, with the following revisions to recommendation No 2:

And That “Shaughnessy Lands Neighbourhood Plan” be received and the

nning Department be instructed to use it as a reference in developing an
Area Control Plen, in due time, based on the attached drawing titled
"Shaughnessy Lands Concept Plan”, Option "3-a",
