inal to be on Vancouver Whitecaps 3683 East Hastings Street Vancouver, B.C. VSK 231 Dear Mr. Bridgewater: I am writing in response to your recent letter and “architectural report" for developing a soccer centre. “AS we previously indicated the City of Port Coquitlam is interested to participate in a acheme like your proposal. We find that our municipal recreations needs are complementary to your playing field requirements. By supplementing each other, a better facility could be developed to meet both groups needs. Like yourselves, the City is working under constraints of the present recession. Due to that, we have examined your plans, searching for a way to stage construction and use existing or proposed commercial services to make the project feasible. Before outlining our ideas for developing a sports centre, I would point out that we have not contacted any development firms about feasibility of "for profit” elements of the programme nor has it been approved oy City Council. This report contains staff ideas about how the architectural scheme you are suggesting can be brought about. It is written as an outline to guide development of our suggested site, Reeve Street Park, leaving a maximun Level of flexibility to alter construction staging or financing. I hope you find our development programme to be of interest. Yours truly, B.R. Kirk City Administrator BRK/v1j
