THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM

BY-LAW NO. 1545

A By-law regarding part of Oxford Street and Mason Avenue forting
boundary between the City of Port Coquitlam and the District of Coguitlan.

WHEREAS the District of Coquitlam proposes to adopt "District of
Coquitlam Road Exchange By-law No. 730, 1977" which will close a portion of Oxford
Street and Mason Avenue which forms the boundary between the City of Port Coquitlam

and the District of Coquitlam
AND WHEREAS in exchange for the portions of road to be closed, the

Jands outlined in red on the by~law plan attached hereto and marked Schedule "A"

will be dedicated as roads;

AND WHEREAS Section 537 of the Municipal Act being Chapter 255 of the

or

Revised Statutes of iritish Columbia, 1960 and amendments thereto states that:

"No by-Jaw of the Council of one of the
municipalities interested in a boundary-
line highway has any force with respect
to such boundary-line highway until
mutually acceptable by-laws have been
adopted by the Council having joint
jurisdiction."

NOW THEREYORE the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of

Port Coquitlam, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows:

1, The Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam

hereby consents:

(a) to the closure of those portions of Oxford Street and Mason Avenue
shown outlined in green on the road exchange plan attached hereto
and marked Schedule “A" (hereinafter called the "former highways");

(b) to the exchange of the former highways for the lands outlined in
xed on the road exchange plan attached hereto and marked Schedule

"A" which lands outlined in red shall be dedicated as roads;

(c) to the adoption by the District of Coquitlam of "District of
Coquitlam Road Exchange By-law No. 730, 1977", a copy of which is
attached hereto and marked Schedule "B".
2. This By-law may be cited for all purposes as the "Oxford Street and

Mason Avenue Road Exchange Consent By-law, 1977, No. 1545".
