Shimizu Sawmill had re-located their proposal to the
origiaal of 1986. On this site there was a 20 foot
pathway that went around the site aad acted as a
linkage for the PoCo Trail.
The committee agreed that they would prefer to have
the pathway rather than the pedestrian underpass as
had been negotiated in the other piece of property.

Recommendation:

That the Parks & Recreation Director iuform both the
Planning Director and the City Engineer that the
Parks & Reczeation Committee do not want to see a

pedestrian underpasc„ buth rather the reinstatement
of the original pathway that was agreed to in 1986.

Community b~ins
The Parks & Recreation Director discussed the aspect
of community signs which are presently allowed to be
at the corner. of Shaughnessy & Pitt River Road, as
was
well as on the Centennial Pool grounds.

agreed that a three week limit would be instituted
and that the size of the sign would be limited., The

other aspect is that this site is for community
signs and not businesses.

Recommendation

That the presentation on community signs by the
Pazks & Recreation Director be adopted.
