WIN 7-3 Winterhawks just too fast The speedy Kitimat Winterhawks were in Terrace for a game against the Timbermen Wednesday night, and were one step- shead of the Terrace team all the way enroute to an easy 7-3 victory. Terrace’s problems began at 4:43 of the first period, when Magiel Fournier banged in a rebound from a - Chris Godfrey point shot to give Kitimat an’ early 1-0 Jead. The Winterhawks were applying tremendous pressure in the Terrace end of the rink towards the conclusion of the period when Stacy Smeader's shot from the tip of the faceoff circle found its way through a maze of players into the Terrace net, giving Kitimat a 2-0 lead at the end of one. Kitimat continued to apply pressure, and got two more fast goals near the start of the third period to put the game out of sight. Magiel Fournier poited his third of the game at 1:45, and Lee Marleau notched on at 2:02 to inerease Kitimat's ad- vantage to 6-1. The Win- terhawks got another at 8:33, and it was 7-1. Kitimat’s Steve Kerbrat was serving a penalty at 14:35, when Terry Grimm fed a pass to Houston Hill who got Terrace’s second goal, making it 7-2. Rae Rowe added another for the Timbermen at 18:43 of the third, but the game was well out of sight by then, as Kitimat skated off with a 7-3 victory. The Terrace Timbermen continue their home stand this weekend, when they will . host Fraser Lake. at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
