Tt should be kept in mind that the School Board share has been included in the
above figures. In order to maintain the 50% subsidy adopted by council it would

be necessary to increase user charges and rental charges by 31%. However, subsidy
on an indoor pool is much larger than in the ice arenas, as these have more rentals.

Therefore the Leisure Activities Committee recommends that we revise the subsidy

for the indoor pool to 652 and this, therefore, would mean an increase of 162 to
all charges. If we increased by 31% we would discourage the use of Hyde Creek

Centre as costs would be prohibitive,
