Amendment of C~3 and C4 Zones

That the Municipal Clerk be instructed to prepare 4 Bylaw to amend the C-3
(Community Commercial) and C-4 (Town Center Commercial) zones of the ‘Port
Coquitlam Zoning Bylaw, 1987, No. 2240", as outiined in Appendix I.

DISCUSSION:

A businesa licence application for a sports bar with billiard tables
G<-3 zone was received for consideration. The C-3 zone presently permits
amusement arcades and other entertainment establishments. This item was
subsequently referred to Planning Committee and Council in Committee for

direction and guidance.

At the Council in Committee meeting of October 5, 1992, Council instructed
that the regulations for the G-3 and C-4 zones be amended to prohibit arcades,

billiard halis and similar uses.

The proposed changes, which are attached ae Appendix I, have been vetted
by the Municipal Solicitor. It is recommended that a Bylaw be brought forth

to implement the proposed changes.
