Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Thompson: That as recommended in a report from the Planning & Zoning Committee, March 2l1st, 1974, the proposal of Nu-West Developnent Corporation Ltd. to rezone the North and South half of Lot 7 and Lot 8, of Plan 9726, Parcel A of Plan 14525 and Lot 5 and the Remainder of Lot 6 of Plan 5726 to permit subdivision for residential purposes, be approved for further consideration for designation as a Development Area with development by Land Use Contract and that the proposal be referred to the Building & Protection Committee and the Public Works Committee for their comments. : Carried, Alderman Traboulay voted against the resolution. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution, a discussion ensued and Alderman Ranger advised that the. proposal Was being. brought forward at this time in order that it could be included in discussions to be held with the School District. Alderman Traboulay pointed out that the Application « was rejected by a resolution of the Council following consideration of a report from the Planning & Zoning Com- mittee setting forth its view that the approximately 324 building lots available in the City is a sufficient supply i for . 1974, and he commented that that applica- tion was for only 12 building lots, while the proposal now under consideration calls for 212.
