Amateurs ou adeptes d’électro, nous vous concoctons une journée et une
soirée mémorables avec le retour du Piknic Electronik pour ce 23éme Fes-
tival d’Eté, qui installera pour la troisiéme fois ses platines sous le soleil de
la céte Ouest ! Cette année, encore, le rendez-vous est donné le 23 juin sur
la pelouse du Malkin Bowl a Stanley Park, ot les Djs Montréalais Hakim
Guelmi, Bowly et Shaydakiss & A-Rock viendront enflammer les pelouses
du Piknic. Ils seront précédés de DJs Vancouvérois, avec Vincent Parker en
téte.

Whether you just love techno or you also play it, join us for an unforgettable
day and evening under sunny West Coast skies, with the third Piknic Electro-
nik concocted for the 23rd Festival d’Eté. This year the event will take place
again, on June 23rd on the lawns of Malkin Bowl in Stan-
ley Park where the Montreal Based Djs Hakim Guelmi,
Bowly and SHAYdakiss & A-Rock will put the Piknic’s
dance floor on fire. Vancouverite DJ Vincent Parker will
be opening the night, among others.

Vincent Parker (VER & Lyon, FR)

Vincent Parker, un artiste vancouvéerois, originaire de Lyon
en France, sous contrat avec le label Run Riot Records, s’in-
vestit, depuis 2003, dans la création et le développement de sa propre marque de
fabrique qu’il définit par le terme « live psyched-out power rythms ». Le style
de Parker est immédiatement reconnaissable et il compte bien le partager avec
vous.

Vincent Parker

Vincent Parker, a Vancouver based recording artist, originally from Lyon,
France, signed with Run Riot Records, has been crafting his own brand of live
psyched-out power rhythms since 2003. Make no mistake, Parker has an ins-
tantly recognizable style and he plans on sharing it with you.

Hakim Guelmi (MTL)

Hakim Guelmi n’a eu besoin que de deux années pour passer de jeune raver amateur
de musique électronique 4 DJ. Ses principales influences sur
le circuit international sont James Holden, Sven Vath, Ritchie
Hawtin et Danny Howells. Son style trés personnel est une
version sombre et froide oti s’entrechoquent techno, tech house
et minimal. Depuis 2007, il organise des événements au Velvet
Club, ce qui lui a permis de jouer en compagnie de Desyn
Masiello, Nic Fanciulli, Tom Pooks et Preach.
It took two years for 22-year-old Hakim Guelmi to transform from a regular raver
and fan of E.D.M. to the man behind the decks. Considering James Holden, Sven
Vath, Ritchie Hawtin and Danny Howells as his major international influences,
Guelmis style has evolved into a bone-chilling dark, hybrid version of Techno,
Tech-House and Minimal. By organizing and promoting events for the Velvet Club
