SUBJECT: PROPOSED 30 KM/H SCHOOL ZONE - OXFORD STREET
WINGROVE AVENUE TO DORSET AVENUE

RECOMMENDATION:

That Council apprcve the designation of a 30 km/h School Zone on Oxford Street between
Wingrove and Dorset. 7

BACKGROUND & COMMENTS:

The Public Works/T raffic Cornmittee considered the attached memorandum from the Supervisor
of Design and Technical Services regarding a letter from Kathy Peterson of 1944 Dorset Avenue
dated November L5, 1993 requesting traffic improvements.

It is recommended that the existing 30 km/h School Zone on Oxford Street be extended from
Wingrove to Dorset Avenue.

The Public Works/Traffic Committee will be considering a storm sewer and sidewalk project for
the south side of Dorset Avenue between Oxford and St. Anne as well as a crosswalk at Oxford

and Dorset in 1994.
