Kirk City Administrator John Shardiow Director of Building Permits and Inspections Amendments to the City’s Fire Sprinkler Regulation Protective Service Committee Meeting August 30, 1993 RECOMMENDATION: That the Mayor and Council approve the amendments to the Fire Sprinkler regulations in the City’s Building and Plumbing Bylaw. BACKGROUND & COMMENTS: The City’s Building Department and Fire Department have reviewed have reviewed fire sprinkler protection with the following considerations. - use and occupancy hazards - combustible contents in buildings - type of construction - fire fighting capabilities - size of buildings The amendments proposed are housekeeping items and a Bylaw update reflecting the Fire Chiefs concerns on adequate fire protection.
