SUBJECT: Proposed Bylaw 2760 - Council Indemnity for 1993

The above mentioned bylaw has been prepared according to Council instructions which
were to reduce their pay by 5% effective the first of February 1993.

Our previous Council indemnity bylaw (1992 rate) number 2673 set out Council’s
indemnity for the period ending in December 1992 and the proposed bylaw (1993 rate)
would set Council payment for the period following expiration of the previous bylaw
through to the end of the current term of office.

The 1993 annual rate is calculated as if the rate were a monthly rate and the rate in effect
for the months of December 1992 and January 1993 were the same as the 1992 rate and
the rate for months February through November is 5% less than the 1992 rates.
