Federal and Provincial Government Owned Lands While the provincial government and federal government have only limited land holdings in the City, those lands are strategically located to affect development of the City. It is acknowledged that senior levels of government are not bound by municipal regulations, it is anticipated they will work with the City to meet mutual goals. Fraser River Harbour Commission The Harbour Commission has exclusive jurisdiction over water lot use in the Fraser and Pitt Rivers along Port Coquitlam’s boundary. It is for this reason that no set use (industry and recreation is specified for the rivers in this Community Plan Map. ) Neighbouring Local Government The City Council of Port Coquitlam recognizes the integrated nature of development and public services in the lower mainland. For that reason the City will continue to work with neighbouring municipalities and regional co-ordinating agencies te guide development of the area. REVIEW AND AMENDMENT The plan is scheduled to have a major review and to be updated in 1988. If development occurs at a pace greater than anticipated by this plan, the review will have to occur at an earlier date. Procedure for amending plan designations of properties is similar to rezoning, the proposed change is examined in terms of how it serves the goals, objectives and strategies of this plan. 2162 SCH "A" 16
