SUBJECT: Property Consolidation - Recreation Centre and Library Sites

RECOMMENDATION :

That Council give consideration to passage of the following resolution:

; "THAT the reference plan of a portion of Lots 1 to 8 (inclusive),
Block "A", Plan 1954 and Lot 104, Plan 37752, and Parcel reference Plan
all of District Lot 289, Group One, New Westminster District completed
by Robert M. Reese, B.C.L.S. on April 29th, 1982 and wherein Lot 124 is created
be- and the same is hereby approved; :

AND THAT his Worship the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to
execute the said plan on behalf of the City and to affix the corporate seal
thereto." .

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS

A photocopy of the plan referred to in the resolution quoted above
follows this memorandum and will consolidate the City owned lots facing Mary Hill
Road together with the north half of Atkins Avenue and the lane running to Wilson
Avenue with the Recreation Centre site to form one large block of’property. It.
is intended, of course, to locate the library in the north-west corner of this new

lot.
