March 29th, 1982. A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chamber, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C., on March 29th, 1982 at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay, Aldermen M.D. Gates, G.R. Laking, M.R. Wright, E.W. Mabbett, D.J. Vater, A.K. Muldoon in attendance. Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer B.R. Kirk, City Clerk R.A. Freeman, City Engineer F.E. Peters, P.Eng., Director of Community Planning W. Brown, City Treasurer J.G.S. Maitland and Mrs. A. Leonard, SPECIAL PRESENTATION: His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay introduced members of the Kinsmen Kinsnen Club presentation to Mayor re Community Building Club of Port Coquitlam who in turn presented to Mayor Traboulay the shovel that was used for the recent sod turning ceremony for the new Kinsmen Community Building. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES: Moved by Alderman Mabbett: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That the minutes of the regular meeting of this Council held on March 15th, 1982 and the special meeting of this Council held on March 22nd, 1982 be taken as read and adopted. Carried. DELEGATIONS: Moved by Alderman Vater: Seconded by Alderman Gates: That those in attendance who wish to do so be permitted to address Council on the aerial application of Funginex. Carriec. Mr. Ray Whalley and Mrs. Thelma McAdam spoke for a few minutes opposing the spraying. Dr. Pepin of Agricultural Canada and Mr. Oscar Austring of Pitt Meadows, spoke in favour of spraying. Alderman Muldoon at this time proposed to read her report on this subject and attached documents to Council and received approval from the Chair to do sc, At this time Alderman Laking left the Council Chambers.
