Alderman Laking voted against the resolution.

Prior to passage of the resolution a short discussion ensued.

NEW _BUSINESS:

From the PoCo Valley Golf and Country Enterprises Ltd., May 29th,
1978 asking for Council's approval of a change from their present "B"
Licence to an "A" Licence. This change of licence would be for the
Double Bogey Lounge only.

Moved by Alderman Keryluk:

Seconded by Alderman Traboulay:

That as requested by the PoCo Valley Golf and Country Enterprises

Ltd., May 29th, 1978 Council approval be given to change from their

present "B" Licence to an "A" Licence for the Double Bogey Lounge only.
Prior to the question being called on the foregoing resolution

Alderman Laking asked that information be received on the type of

licence and its requirements. A brief discussion ensued.

That the request from the PoCo Valley Golf and Country Enterprises
Ltd., May 29th, 1978 for Council approve to change from their "B"
Licence to an "A" Licence be tabled for one week.

Carried.

Alderman Ranger asked for Council direction on whether the new
Zoning By-law should now be brought forward and be put into effect.
Mayor Campbell asked that the new Zoning By-law be brought forward in
the Fall.

Alderman Traboulay discussed using $50,000. from the Kingsway
Avenue storm sewer and advised the Public Works Committee will review
the Public Works List and try to restore money to the budget even
if the government grant does not come through.

Alderman Thompson advised there is speeding on Kent Street and
asked that the R.C.M.P. be requested to patrol this area.

Alderman Thompson advised the S.P.C.A. patrol is now on extended
hours of patrol.

Alderman Thompson advised he received a request from the Old Timers
Recreational Softball League for Council permission to hold a beer

garden on July 7, 8 and 9th, 1978.
