An in-depth work- shop that will cover basic raku techniques and specialized techniques, like joins for hand-building, throwing upside down and raku clay and glasge recipes, John Pickering studied ceramics at The University of California (Santa Barbara) & Emily Carr College of Art & Design. He specializes in large raku pieces and has recently completed a commission for the Mandarin Hotel and exhibited in "Clay Seulpture 1984". Mon. July 8 & Tues. July 9, 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. and Sat.
