Hazelton Flower Show Day is Set For August 21st The annual meeting of the Hazelton Horticultural Society was held in the courthouse .on Thursday evening last. when the reports for the year were read and proved very satisfactory. There is a substantial cash bal- ance on hand, besides consider- able property used in connection with the flower show. The date for the fiower show was set for August 21, 1925. The supplying of flewors for the dining cars will also be continued next sum- mer. Hon. W. H. Brooks on Thursday of last week, when a good atten- dance arranged for the work of the auxiliary during the ensuing year. A number of people have been under the weather lately and some have the doctor in atten- danee. However, with milder weather, it is hoped the epidemic of colds will abate. W. T. Treston, of Smithers, is renewing acquaintances in Ter- race this week. $. A. D. Davis, of Usk. was a business visitor during the early part of the week. Miss De War, of Copper Citv, was the guest of Mrs. H. M. Wilson over the week-end. Natives Gave Concert The Northern Interior Native Association, of Kispiox, gave an excellent concert in Assembly Hall. Hazelton, on Monday even- ing before a large audience. The band of over twenty: members. . rendered first-class music. There were also songs, duets, and reci- tations, many of which received an encore. The negro dancer and “‘Charlie Chaplin’’ -were an- usually comical and original. it was all in English and was. a splendid display of the remark- able native musical talent. Mrs. Robert Tomlinson presided at the concert most acceptably, and at the conclusion: was presented with - a gitt in appreciation of her as- sigtance. .
