Think of pedestrians To the Editor; Are local business owners re- quired to clean snow and ice from in front of their places of business? Is the town required to clean off other parts of sidewalks around the business section of town and to put sand on the ice? Why not consider the pedestrian walking around town as well as vehicles on icy roads? I am an Old Age Pensioner who slipped on some ice in front of a business place in town which had not been sanded, the outcome being a broken arm and a very bruised back. The consequence being that now I am a ‘‘shut-in’’, unable to enjoy the Christmas entertainment or to do my shopping. I wouldn’t want another citizen of Terrace to experience what I am suffer- ing because of the fall and am writing to ask that precautions can be considered for - the pedestrian who has to walk on the sidewalks in the winter time.
