Many towns and cities are participating in Canada’s Fitweek May 20 - 29, Terrace, Kitimat and Prince Rupert are participating by holding a community fitness challenge. The idea is for all three communities to have as many people as possible par- ticipate in 15 minutes of physical activity on Wednesday, May 25. The 15 minutes of activity can be anything from walking, cycling, hiking, swimming or jogging to participating in an exercise class or any other activity of. your choice. We willbe registering everyone that participates, and the community with the highest turnout, based on the percentage of their population, wins! We feel, however, that if this in- spires Terrace residents to start being physically active on a regular basis, then we win, no matter what the figures say. The City of Terrace parks and Recreation Department will be coordinating the Terrace Fitness Challenge. We will be visiting Major golf events set for Northwest.
