V3C ZA Dear Mr. Auhynagzi Re: Citadel Heights Middle Schoo) - Rezaning we ynderstand thal the reaoning approval depends upon commitments from the School Board with respect to a new aceess to Hazel Trembath Blementary from Confederation Drive and conatruction of a fire lane between the two schools. The School Bonrd has indicated in previous carraspandence its strong desire to complete the intended cntrance round (0 Hazel Trembath via Confederation Drive and to close the Paula Place access to vehicular traffic. Subject to Ministry of Education capital funding, we would plan to construct our portion of the access road during 1993 to coincide with construction of ‘he Confederation Drive segment and associated linkage by the developer and the City, With respect to a fire lane between the two echools, there is nat adequate space to provide this on the property without destroying the planned buffer zone along the residential properties to the south or eliminating one of the iwo sportsfields planned to run east-west between ine schools, A preferred solstion would be to construct a gravel fire lane in the BC Hydro right-of- gy, We are making application to AC Hydro for permission to do this, but cu not anticipate an Immediate response, FBC Hydro approves, the Schoo! Board will construct # gravel fire lane between the schools in the right-of- way,
