ea ata 4 A Yt ta EES v4 “Field review" means inspections of the work at a construction site and at fabrication locations where applicable, including keeping records of all site visits and any corrective action taken, under the supervision of a Professional Designer as the Professional Designer considers necessary in order to ascertain that the work substantially conforms in all material respects to the plans and Supporting documents prepared by the Professional Designer for the project for which a permit hag been issued. “Floor Area” means the total area of all floors in all storeys of a building, measured within the inside surface of the exterior walls of the building, including basements, cellars, and the area occupied by interior walls and partitions, but excluding stairwells and elevator shafts. “Multiple-Family Residential Building" means a building containing three or more dwelling units. “Qwner” means the owner of land and includes a lessee with authority to build on land. “Plumbing Inapector™ means a person appointed by Council to administer the provisions of this Bylaw concerning plumbing, acting under the supervision of the Director of Building Permits and Inspections, “Professional Deaign™ means the design of a building or structure by a Professional Designer and requires that all plans, specifications and related documents bear the seal or stamp of the Professional Designer. “Professional Designer” means a person who is registered in the Province of British Columbia as a member in good standing of the Architectural Institute or the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscilentists of British Columbia. 2. SCOPE AND EXEMPTIONS 2.1. This Bylaw applies to all of the area within the City of Port Coquitlam, except as otherwise provided. 2.2. This Bylaw does not apply to lands reserved for Indians, whether reserve or designated lands. 2.3, This Bylaw does not apply to the buildings and structures listed in Section 2 of the Building Regulations of British Columbia. PROHIBITIONS | 3.1, No person shall commence or continue any construction, alteration or repair of any building or structure. unless a valid and subsisting building permit has been issued for the work by a Building Inspector.
