gs June 1, 1992/155 A Public Hearing pursuant to Section 956 of the Municipal Act was held prior to the Council Meeting of the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2580 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on Monday, June lst, 1992, at 7:30 p.m. Mayor L.M. Traboulay and Aldermen M.D. Gates, M.J. Gordon, J.J. Keryluk, R.H. Talbot, and M.A. Thompson were in attendance. Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Clerk S. Rauh, City Treasurer/Deputy Administrator J.G.S. Maitland, City Engineer I.R. Zahynacz, Director of Planning C.R. Felip. PUBLIC HEARINGS: Mayor Traboulay advised the following proposed Bylaws would now be considered: Bylaw No. 2671 To remove the designation “Residential” shown on Schedule "B" of the "Official Community Plan Bylaw, 1986, No. 2162" as enacted by Bylaw No. 2508 applying to: Lot 34, EXCEPT: Part subdivided by Plan 40830 District Lot 465 Group One Plan 25135 New Westminster District and to apply the designation "Apartment" at 2211 Prairie Avenue to permit development of a 13 unit seniors' apartment building and 18 townhouses. Helge Jacobson, 2116 Salisbury Street spoke regarding the use of Estate Residential as opposed to Large Lot Residential in the existing zoning and expressed concern regarding the increase of traffic at Shaughnessy and Prairie Streets, Oxford and Prairie, as well as the lack of crosswalks in these areas. Christine Williams, 2246 Prairie Avenue expressed concern. regarding traffic at Shaughnessy and Prairie and the lack of crosswalks.
