That Council approve the reconstruction of Dominion Avenue from the Lougheed Highway to approximately 650 metres east, based on an estimated cost of $51,539; | That Jack Cewe Ltd. be awarded the contract for milling and placement of hot mix asphalt based on the tendered price of $31,551; and That $51,539 be allocated from the 1991 Public Works Capital Fund for this purpose. Background & Comments: The Public Works Committee considered the attached memorandums from the Operations Manager and Assistant Operations Manager regarding the reconstruction of approximately 650 metres of Dominion Avenue as shown on the attached plan. | Due to the unusually cold weather and the truck traffic this year, this portion of Dominion Avenue has deterlorated beyond the point of patching. The deteriorated portions of Dominion Avenue have been posted as a 20 kph construction zone. It is proposed to reconstruct the westerly 650 metres of Dominion Avenue by milling the existing oil/gravel surface adding approximately two inches of crushed gravel and placing an additional two inches of hot mix asphalt.
