DRAFT RESOLUTION

MUEREAS. the Council is desirous of maintaining a suitable
standard of construction of schools in the City of Port Coquitlam;

AND WIEREAS the Council has been advised that two new
schools planned for construction in the City, namely the Fraser
Avenue and Mary Hill Schools, are not to be of masonry construction;

NOW THEREFORE be it resolved that the Council urge the
Beard of School Trustees of School District No, 43° (Coquitlam) to
substantially upgrade its construction standards for schools in the

Cicy of. Port Coquitlam, particularly the proposed Fraser Avenue and

Mary HS1I Schools, so as to require a masonry construction standard.
