As of Sunday afternoon, the Chapter One Aeros of the Rec league were undefeated, with one win and a tie to give them three points, Tied for second were Preci- sion Builders Blues and White Spot, cach with two points. In the Oldtimer’s league, the Northern Motor Inn Okies were tied for first place with the SRD Blues, both with two points, , Playoffs continue tonight with the Okies squaring olf against the Timbermen and the Blues playing Subway in the Oldtimers division. The Rec division is back at it tomorrow night, when the Blues take on All Seasons and the Bullies take on Skeena Cablevision. Both sesies will finish up this weekend, with the Oldtimers championship game played Saturday at 10:15, p.m. and the Rec championship game laking place Sunday at 3 p.m.. Bowlers at Provincials A NUMBER OF Terrace youth bowler were in Kelowna this past weekend to compete in the Provin- cial five-pin Youth Bowling Championships. Our Junior Boys team from Terrace was representing Northern B.C.. The team includes Phillip Durand, Joseph Prevost, Jesse Mumford, Jonathan Peltier and Robbie Miller. They are coached by Marg Mumford. Terrace also had a single compete in the tournament -— Carl Haugland bowled in the Junior Boys’ categary. Watch for the results in an upcoming edition of the Standard, Onion Lake open WITH A 50 centimetre base, the Onion Lake ski trails still have lots of skiing left before the season’s out. All the trails are groomed and in great shape for classic skiing and skating, Meanwhile, the introduction to overnight ski touring classes set to go in March have been moved to April. Jamboree this weekend TERRACE WILL host the Dairyland Sportsmanship Jamboree Hockey Tournament this weekend. Teams in the Peewee and Atom divisions from seven northwest communitics will converge at the arena March 29 and 30. About 136 players, along with 16 coaches and managers will take part. The tournament will focus on fun, sportsmanship and team play.
