B10 - The Terrace Standard, Wednesday, November 2, 1994 Local youths scouting for help TWO TERRACE scouts will be Holland-bound next summer, But they are asking for help fundraising for the August 1995 trip to the Amsterdam World Scout Jambaree. While Courtney Vasseur and James Adams have raised over $2,000 already, they still need $7,000 to pay for their trip. “We've been doing things like selling chocolates and now we're appealing to local businesses and service organizations,’’ said Vas- seur, a 13-year-old Skeena stu- dent. “‘In turn we're offering our services for gardening or helping in their offices or whatever needs to be done.” Vasseur and Adams, both First Terrace Scouts members, started fundraising in July and must meet an April 15, 1995 deadline for $4,250. They first heard about ihe World Jamboree at the 1993 Ca- nadian Jamboree in Kananaskis, Alberta. “Neither one of ws has ever been to Europe so it’s really ex- citing,’ said Adams.
