That Council pasa a resolution authorizing the Planning Department to
prepare Development Variance Permit 105/92 under Section 974 of the
Municipal Act.

DISCUSS IOH:

A Development Variance Permit Application has been received for an
addition to an existing commercial free-standing sign at 2710 Lougheed
Highway. The sign was previously approved and is legally non-conforming with
respect to the current Sign Bylaw.

A variance to the Sign Bylaw is required as the sign is supported by two
pylons which do not occupy at least 75% of the width of the eign. A height
variance is also required as the existing sign exceeds the permitted height of
6.5 meters by approximately 2 meters. Tas addition will be placed below the
existing sign between the two gupporting structures and will not increase the

current non-compliance.
