City Engineer SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR LANE IMPROVEMENTS ~ £555 CHARLETON COURT (Public Works Committee Meeting - October 29, 1991) That Council approve the upgrading of the existing lane located south of Kent Avenue and west of Sefton Street (behind 1555 Charleton Court) based on an estimated cost of $2,250. That $2,250 be allocated from the Public Works Special Reserve for this purpose. The Public Works Committee considered the attached memorandum from the Project Technician dated October 11, 1991 regarding a letter dated September 12, 1991 from Randy Shaw of 1555 Charieton Coust requesting that the City of Port Coquitlam upgrade the lane located behind his property. The lane in question is approximately 45 metres long. The gravel surface is deficient and some of the trees are growing into the travel portion of the lane thereby creating a hazard. At present there are four properties that are serviced by this lane and two of these properties have the garbage picked up at the lane. It is proposed to remove the trees that are encroaching on the travelled portion of the lane and to place a five metres wide gravel surface for the full length of the lane. Cee prs) et se
