October 24, 1988/247 Ron Nyles, 1839 Pitt River Road, has concerns as C.P. Transport uses loud speakers which can be heard and he has complained about this several times. Broadway intersects with busy areas and he is worried that heavy trucks will use residential streets for quick access to the property. Will these minor repairs to the trucks be done after 8:00 p.m.? Susan King-Wilson, 1956 Cameron Avenue, President of Kilmer House is interested in the proposed development as it involves the possible development of an intersection at Pooley and Brown Street. Would like Council to enact a road closure bylaw for Pooley Avenue between Connaught Drive and Brown Street. Alderman Farnworth mentions that a bylaw is being processed to close Brown and Pooley. Taylor Roman, 1662 Connaught Drive, has several concerns; he asked when the road closure would come into effect, could the reads be opened again and in referrence to Alderman Farnworths' comment at the last meeting regarding Genstar tearing down trees, he feels that. City Council is doing the same to the home owners in Port Coquitlam. The City gives a greenbelt area then sells it and they are torn down. Ravindra Mehra, 1938 Connaught Avenue, is concerned with the underground springs and what will happen if oil catches on fire and spreads through these springs. Mr. Mehra also has concerns regarding the amount of garbarge found in industrial areas and will the shed ever be checked to see what is being stored there. Acting Mayor J.J. Keryluk informs Mr. Mura that these matters will be looked into. Dave Axon, 1626 Connaught Drive, will be directly affected by the development as he lives directly opposite what trees are left. He moved into this area as it was quiet, and friendly and would like to see it remain that way. Marg Gordon, 1935 Rodger Avenue, is concerned about the safety of the children that attend Kilmer School which is situated on Kitchner and Pooley and would like concrete information that Pooley Avenue and Brown Street will be closed. Would like to know what type of insurance do we have that no dangerous goods will be stored here. Rezoning property to M-L Gerneral Industrial this close to a school site should not be tolerated. Dan Holt, 1611 Broadway Street, has lived there for 24 years and when he moved in, it was already on a long range plan to be designated industrial land. As far as the trees on the property they belong to him and are his to do with as he sees fit. People have been shooting pellets at his cows, and torn down his fences. He is surrounded by M-lL properties, and he asked how can a farm be run in an area like this. Helen Baptist, 1632 Connaught Drive, stated that the trees referred to are not on the owners property David Jess, 1959 Pooley Avenue, suggested that if the firm only has four small trucks they might look for alternate parking arrangements.
