SUBJECT: Road Allowance Off Angelo Avenue (Karamanoiis)

RECOMMENDATION:

"That a 391.4 square metre section of unused road’ allowance
between Lot 74, Plan 20844 and Lot 120, Plan 65183 be stopped
and closed to traffic and offered for sale at a minimum upset
price of $75.35 per square metre;

THAT a one-half metre wide strip of land at the north end of
the proposed road ciosure not be sold but be retained in the
name of the City;

SUBJECT to the granting of a right-of-way in favour of the City
on the entire road allowance area to cover an existing
waterfine; °

AND THAT all survey and lega! expenses be borne by the
successful purchaser,"

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:

The sketch following this memorandum sets out the area that can
be closed. It ts not possible to close the area of road
immediately adjacent to Angelo Avenue as we have been unable to
obtain the consent of the property owner immediately to the
east.

The price per square metre set out in the proposed resolution
equals $7.00 per sq. ft. and Counci! members will recat! tha*
this was the price suggested by the B.C. Assessment Authority
in September of last year.
