Th Committee had been reviewing two options - a Five Year 1ehdE° Truck. of purchase by way of Five Year Capital Borrowing and recommending the Five Year Capital Borrowing. Moved by Alderman Thompson: Seconded by Alderman Ranger: That as recommended by the Finance Committee, October 20th, 1978 the proposed purchase of a fire truck be done through the Five Year Capital Borrowing; AND THAT the City Clerk be instructed to prepare the necessary Five ‘Year Capital Borrowing By-law. Carried. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution Alderman Traboulay asked for clarification of the approval given for the proposed purchase of a fire truck. Alderman Ranger clarified the procedure of purchase on large items and advised the next step is to go to tender and to receive bids. Discussion then ensued.
