Eng. . 0 he ITEM I VA/ Re: Playground Zone - Pooley Avenue A request has been received to establish a Playground Zone on Pooley Avenue from Pitt River Road to Taylor Street. A School Zone on this section of Pooley is presently in existence. Tt is felt that the School Zone desiqnation is not sufficient to cover the extent of activities taking place at Kilmer School and Park in the evenings, on weekends, and during the summer. The Committee xecommends the establishment of a Playground Zone as , requested. ITEM Il Re: _ Parking - Laurier Avenue, Coast Meridian Road to Regina Street Attached hereto please find a print of Drawing No. 211-74 showing the proposed parking arrangement for Laurier from Coast Meridian to Regina. This arrangement is acceptable to the Leisure Activities Committee and to the Principal of George Pearkes Junior Secondary School. The Committee recommends acceptance of the layout and the establishment of No Parking Zones on the south side of Laurier from Regina Street to a point 560 feet west of Regina Street and from a point 90 feet east of Ulster Street to a point 270 feet east of Ulster Street. ITEM IIT Re: Parking - Leigh Square & Donald Street ; Attached hereto please find a print of Drawing No. 210-67-R4 outlining the proposed addition of ten parking stalls. It is proposed to close the Whyte Avenue access to Donald Street and thereby create six additional stalls on Donald Street and four additional stalls on Whyte Avenue. It is recommended that if thisscheme is acceptable,No Parking 3 a.m. - 8 a.m. be estab~ lished on the six Donald Street stalls and 2 Hour Parking’8 a.m. to 6 p.m. be established on the four Whyte Avenue stalls.
