The Parks & Recreation Director indicated that the staff felt that the theme "If by Magic" is the best of all the ones suggested and they feel they can work very well with this theme from a marketing point of view. Carried Item No 4 Centennial Pool — Awarding of Contract Parks & Recreation Director's Comments The money by-law for Centennial Pool construction 9350,000. lhe total estimated cost fnr the projectis was 8336,000. In the attached report from the consultant, Mz. Barkley; he has recommended that we go with the third lowest tender, Tritan Construction. Tzi.tan is well documented. I would support his recommendation to award the contract to Tritan Construction. Item No. 5 Shimlzu Development Carried The Parks & Recreation Director presented attached information about Shimizu and the the for city participation in the landscaping ofrequest I-line development. It was noted that the the recommendation was approved by the City Council Committee Members requested that we get an easement over the PoCo Trail in the sawmill site. Recommendation: That the report be received and that a report go to the Planning Director requesting an easement.
