Vincent had a very useful article , ‘Caramic Toxicology-the Hature of the Hazards", which deals with the toxicity of chemicals in their various states, ie., raw, whilst firing, and on a finished piece. In celebration of our new Cultural Centre, the Richmond Potters Club hosted a veekend workshop with Gordon Hutchens on January 2ird and 24th. ds always, Gordon gave an excellent coverage catering to the needs of beginner potters to the more advanced, He beqan by throwing many shapes and sizes on Saturday. Sunday, he proceeded with his slide presentation, discussing various techniques of firing. Discussions continued throughout the day while finishing and decorating leather-hard pieces with slips and his wonderful Butchans Handles. He ended the program by generously providing us with his recipes on slips and clay bodies. Thank you Gordon. We are very fortunate to ba provided with this lovely space and professional equipment, and we'd like to thank all the potters who attended this workshop to celebrata this happy occasion.
