lead spook bash

IT’S SHAPING UP to be a serious blues bash.

Stony Plain records artist Amos Garrett will bring his guitar
mastery to a Hallowe'en dance Friday night at the Thomhiil Com-
munity Centre,

Sharing the gig with-Garrett and his band — the Eh? Team —

will be Terrace’s own Low Budget Blooz Band.
-. Tongue in‘cheek, Garrett titled his seventh album Third Man In.
_. Not. that the band is an ‘‘altercation in progress’’ as per the
- NHL’s rulebook governing fights.
_ The title came about because, as the singer and guitarist points
- out, ‘‘most of the sorigs are about the third person in so many re-
lationships.” =”

Later Ian and Sylvia Tyson asked him to play with the Great
Speckled Bird, one of the first country-rock groups to help change
the direction of pop music. -
