Bornite Mountain to raise- funds for the disabled children of British Columbia. There were approx- - imately 50 snowmobilers who participated in the 100 . kilometre course. They travelled from Kleanza Creek Park up Bornite Mountain Log Haul Road and on past Kleanza Lake and return, The last leg of the course had to be travelled twice by all snowmobiles to make up the required 100 kilometres. The- Snowarama . was chaired by Grant Bowker, a job well done. Thanks Grant, Earl. Larsen: from the club had coffee and hot dogs ready. and waiting for everyone at 25 km of the run. The Lions Club also had chili and hot dogs on the grill at the end of the run to feed the enthusiastic and some- times hungry and cold snowmobilers. Some of the women members of the club who donated their time to the _Snowarama and also took part in the ride up Bornite Helene Sharon Fell, Bonnie Robb from CFTK Radio De Jong, Station, and other women too numerous to mention, but greatly appreciated. Rick De Jong, Robert Parr, Dwayne Anderson and Ken Gibson were the Rovers on the course in case of an accident or breakdown. A good job was well done by all four members. ‘The club has pledges of $9,700. This could only have happened with the help of the businesses and other fine people from Terrace and Prince Rupert, who, were. more’ than generous with their donations.
