Funeral services were held October 20 in Sacred Heart Church. Father Allson officiated. Mrs. Lea Dakin was born in Grande Riviere Gaspe. She married George Dakin August 5, 1919 at Chandler, Quebec. They moved to Atmore, district In Alberia September 1919. They farmed for 42 years bringing up a family of seven chitdren. Mr. and Mrs. Dakin moved fa Terrace in 1947. Celebrated thelr 58 wedding anniversary August 5, 1974, Retired and lived with thelr daughter until thelr death. She leaves to mourn; Mrs. Leonie Dupiessis (Terrace, B.C.), Paul Dakin {Ft. Me- Murray, Afberta}, Mrs. Emelia Alore (Salmon Arms), Roger Dakin (Ft. McMurray), Ber- nard Dakin (Campbell River, B.c.). She was predeceased by an Infant son in 1933. Her husband George Dakin July 1, 1977. Her daughter Georgetie Skoglund September 6, 1977. Her Dad’s mom, three sisters, four brothers, 32 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, Pallbearers were her six grandsons. MacKay Funeral Services were In charge of all arrangements. He Is survived by his wife Hazel, sons Lyle, 36 and Ronnie, 24, plus brothers Ralph, from Alberta, Merle, from Chilliwack, Freeman, living on Vancouver Island, Dale, living In Quesnel and a sister Hazel, tiving In Alberta. He also leaves his grandson Darren who Ilved with him for many years, three other grandchildren — plus numerous nieces and nephews. He was born In Jephson, Alta., 62 years ago and Ilved In B.C. for 38 years, the iast 12 In Terrace.
