Implement revisions to the single-family zoning regulations for small lot zones so that the scale of new housing on those lots will be more compatible to surrounding development and therefore viewed more positively, hte ote i i il. Methodology The project will consist of three phases: Phase | identity areas of concentration of small lots determine age and condition of areas and their potential for infill subdivision develop criteria for identifying such areas and then delimit them Phase It comparative analysis of single-family zone regulations in City Zoning Bylaw and those in other municipalities identify aspects of Zoning Bylaw that allow for large, oversized houses prepare draft amendments Phase Ill workshop with Council and public on proposals refer draft amendments to building industry and local chapter of UDI for input and comments review comments and revise proposals rake appropriate amendments to Zoning Bylaw Consultation and Cooperation The study will be undertaken by the Planning Department. There will be on- going consultation with the Planning Committee, a sub-committee of Council that is responsible for the City’s planning functions. Once the areas allowing for infill have been identified and draft revisions to the Zoning Bylaw have been made, public consultation will take place in the form of information meetings.
