SUBJECT: Parking Restrictions to Muiti Family Complexes
(Public Works Committee Meeting - Dec. 15, 1992)

RECOMMENDATION:

That Council approve the the change to Bylaw 1117, to include multi-family access points in
the parking regulations.

BACKGROUND:

The Public Works Committee considered the attached memorandum from the Project/Traffic
Technician dated Dec. 3 1992 regarding a request from a Multi-family Management Company
to install 'No Parking’ signs adjacent to the entrance to the complex.

This request prompted a review of the current parking regulations at the access/egress points to
muiti-family complexes. The movements in and out of these complexes warrants inserting
rnuiti-family entrances (with more than 20 units) to the current parking regulation Bylaw 1117,
