Carried. REPORTS : Ald.Keryluk re From Alderman J.J. Keryluk, December 10th, 1976, concerning the '77 FYRL Budget Fraser Valley Regional Library's 1977 Operating Budget, and pointing out that, based on the 1976 General Assessment, Port Coquitlam's share will be $113,611.00, or $4.77 per capita. Alderman Keryluk also advised that the City's new library facility will provide a much improved service, with the present staff of 8 (1 full-time, 7 part-time) being increased to 15 (2 full-time) and the book supply from 10,000 to 30,000. Moved by Alderman Thompson; Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That as recommended in a report from Alderman J.J. Keryluk, December 10th, 1976, the proposed Fraser Valley Regional Library Budget for 1977 be accepted; AND THAT the City's share thereof in the amount of $113,611.00, be included in the Provisional Budget. Carried. A discussion ensued, and Alderman Traboulay inquired as to the comparison in funding between the Greater Vancouver Library Federation and the Fraser Valley Regional Library, and Alderman Keryluk stated that this was difficult to do, as the funding and Provincial grants for both are different; also, the F.V.R.L. is administered from its Headquarters in Abbotsford, whereas the member municipalities of the G.V.L.F. operate independently. Alderman Keryluk then advised that early in 1977, the
