From the Plaraing & Zoning Committee, November . 2nd, 1973 advising of an application received for a subdivision of industrial land iu the M-2 zone, stating that at present, the minimum parcel size in this area is 5 acres; however, almost. the entire block of parcels of industrial land front~ ing on Kingsway and backing onto the C.P. Rail line consist of 9.8 acre. parcels, thus prohibiting subdivision thereof, and recommending that the Subdivision By-law be amended to reduce the minimum lot size in an M-2 zone to. 4,5 acres, which would permit subdivision of these parcels where it is deemed desirable. Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconde. Dy Alderman Laking: That as recommended in a report from the Planning & Zoning. Committee, the City's Subdivision By-law be amended to reduce the minimum lot size in an M-2 Zone to 4.5 acres in order to permit processing of these parcels where it is deemed desirable so to do. From the Public Works Committee, November 2nd, 1973, recommending that F rae Parking’ regulations be put into effect on the East side of Cedar Drive between Prairie Avenue and Wright Avenue. 2rior te consideration of the report, Alderman Mabbett advised that the recommendation contained therein should have tated the East and West sides of Cedar Drive, and to this correc tion the Council generally agreed. Moved by Alderman Mabbett: Seconde. by Alderman Traboulay: That as recommended in a repert from the Public Works Committee, November 2nd, 1973, "No Parking" regulations be put into effect on the Fast and West sides of Cedar Drive between Prairie Avenue and Wright Avenue. Curried. From the Environmental Protection Sub-Committee, November 2nd, 1973, Sub/Comm.re future of & uses of Pitt R. Foreshore concerning the future of and uses of the Pitt River Foreshore, pointing out that at the present time the strip of land East of the B.C. Hydro Right-of- Way has been subuitted by the Greater Vancouver Regional District as poten- tial Agricultural Reserve with the provision of re-examination of this alloc- ation within one year, suggesting that while the City has not been advised of the disposition of the submission, a 150' to 200' wide corridor in the form of a public road allowance located as a South-easterly extension of Kingsway should be considered, and recommend Lug that this concept be refer~ red to the Planning & Zoning Committee for further information and comment.
