June 7, 1993/181 From the City Treasurer/Deputy Administrator, May 28th, 1993 regarding Budget Reallocations. Moved by Councillor Keryluk: Seconded by Councillor Gorden: That City Council approve the following budget reallocations: That a new clerical staff member be hired in the Clerk’s Department with funding to come from reallocation of funds in the Administration and Clerk’s budgets; and That a new staff member be hirec in the Fire Prevention Office with funding to come from reallocation of funds in the Fire Department budget; and That $5,000.00 from our contingency account be allocated to fund skateboarding in the PoCo Rec Centre; and That funding for the Chamber of Commerce Tourism Promotion be increased to $8,031.60 (an increase of $3,831) with funds allocated from our contingency account. Carried. Councillor Gates voted against the resolution. From the City Treasurer/Deputy Administrator, June 3rd, 1993 regarding Basketball Hoop - Homesteader Court. Moved by Councillor Gordon: Seconded by Councillor Keryluk: That the City Council reconsider the motion which was passed at the May 17th, 1993 Meeting allowing the basketball hoop on Homesteader Court to remain pending a report from the Parks and Recreation Commission. Camied. Councillor Keryluk voted against the resolution. Moved by Councillor Gordon: Seconded by Councillor Talbot: That the basketball hoop on Homesteader Court be removed pending a report from the Parks & Recreation Committee. Carried.
